Today was our last day in Shanghai and it was a cultural day.  The day started with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple.  The temple was located in the centre of the city and unfortunately it was a holy day in Buddhism and therefore the temple was packed with worshippers.   It was interesting to see the temple and how people were worshipping the Jade Buddha.

Our next stop was the Chinatown in Shanghai.  The town was built just like we see in America and was full of shops and people.  Our guide informed us about the fake products that we would find in the shops and how we should bargain when we buy at these shops.  We also got a chance to visit a silk place where they showed us how pure silk is made.  We had lunch at the local restaurant in Chinatown.

After  lunch we visited the Urban Planning Museum in Shanghai and got a chance to see how the city of Shanghai has evolved during the last twenty years. It was surprising to hear about the huge developmental plans of the government of the city of Shanghai.

Today our last stop was Jin Mao Tower, the third tallest building in Shanghai with eighty-eight stories.  We went to the observation deck and had an incredible view of the city of Shanghai.  From there we headed towards the Shanghai airport to catch a plane to Beijing.
